THE Brunei Darussalam National Road Safety Council (BNRSC) organised a religious event as part of its monthly activity to seek blessings and pray for the safety of all road users in the country yesterday.
The Sunnat Hajat prayer and Ratib Al-Attas was held at Kampong Lambak Mosque in Berakas and was attended by Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof in his capacity as the Chairman of the BNRSC.
BNRSC also urged road users to begin their journey with prayers, to be vigilant while driving and practise care.
Drivers are also urged to continuously put safety first and use seat belts, avoid using mobile phones while driving and also obey speed limits and road signs for the safety of all.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof in his capacity as Deputy Chairman II of BNRSC, Deputy Permanent Secretary at MTIC (Transport, Research and Development) and Secretary of MKKJR Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, and Deputy Permanent Secretary at the MTIC (Info-communications, Cybersecurity, Strategy and Corporate) Haji Hairul Mohd Daud bin Haji Abdul Karim were also present.
