The National Road Safety Council (NRSC) yesterday held a road safety awareness programme briefing for the government sector at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC), as part of the Strategic Outcome Brunei Darussalam Road Safety Strategic Plan 2025 initiatives.

Secretariat of the NRSC representative Haji Mohammad Syafien bin Yandol briefed participants comprising officials from MTIC and its departments.

The talk – a continuation to the previous briefing on March 3 – aimed to raise awareness on the importance of road safety, through contents such as accident statistics, driving ethics and legislation.

A target has been set for the briefing to reach 20,000 public and private sector members this year.

The NRSC of Brunei Darussalam calls on road users to increase vigilance and always practice prudent driving. The attitude and culture of prioritising road safety will help prevent accidents and is crucial for the safety of all.
