The Fire and Rescue Department through its Operation ‘G’ Branch presented a community excellence award to Alim bin Akim, who extinguished an electrical fire in a government building, at Pekan Bangar Library recently.
Alim’s action involved an “air curtain” device that prevented the fire from spreading in the building. Commanding Officer of Operation ‘G’ Branch SSFR Haji Afiq bin Haji Julah handed the award to Alim.
Also in attendance were Head of Temburong Library Branch Pengiran Serimohayatun binti Pengiran Haji Metusin, and Deputy Station Commander of Bangar Fire Station ASO Ahmad bin Haji Kassim.
