For residents of Kampong Kiarong, we had been plagued by yellow water for the longest time. About a month ago, it stopped, which was a relief to us. However, in the past few days, the problem has resurfaced and it seems to be worsening.
I’m not sure if it has something to do with the heavy rains lately. What started out as yellow water is now muddy, along with a stench that is stressing out my entire household.
The authorities have been working hard to address the yellow water issue, to which I’m extremely grateful. I do hope that the return of dirty water is not a mainstay as it is taxing on the mental health of residents dealing with it.
