Religious workshop open for registration

The Halalan Thayyiban Workshop on ‘Animal Slaughter Welfare and Slaughter: A Holistic Approach to Produce Halal and High Quality Meat’ is open for registration.

The workshop is organised by the Centre for Leadership and Lifelong Learning of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) in cooperation with the Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre.

The one-day workshop is scheduled for July 21 at UNISSA Campus, Sinaut from 8am to 4.30pm.

The workshop aims to raise awareness on animal welfare before and during slaughtering; explain the differences between pre-slaughter stunning and traditional halal slaughter; and highlight the Thayyiban concept throughout the halal meat supply chain.
