The Examinations Division, Islamic Studies Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued the results of the Brunei Religious Education Pre Higher Certificate (Pre-STPUB) and Brunei Religious Education Higher Certificate (STPUB) conducted last year.
The two exams were for Pre-University (U1) and Pre-U2 students of Hassanal Bolkiah Boys Arabic Secondary School and Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran.
For the Pre-STPUB, out of 291 candidates, 289 (99.31 per cent) obtained at least one Jayyid (good) and of that number, 221 candidates (75.95 per cent) obtained at least the rank of Jayyid (good) in all subjects taken – an increase of 7.09 per cent over 2021.
Meanwhile for STPUB, 274 candidates sat for the exam with 261 (95.26 per cent) passing, which is an increase of 1.85 per cent from 2021.
Of these, 120 candidates (43.80 per cent) obtained the rank of Mumtaz (excellent) which is an increase of 2.71 per cent from 2021.
The schools can collect the candidates’ results at the Office of the Examinations Division, Islamic Studies Department.
