The Prime Minister’s Office yesterday held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with the 77th birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof attended the event at Ash-Shaliheen Mosque.
The ceremony began with the reading of Surah Yaasiin followed by Doa Kesyukuran led by Imam Pengiran Muhd Rafiuddin bin Pengiran Ramle. The congregants also performed mass Asar prayer.
The Ministry of Finance and Economy also held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony yesterday in conjunction with His Majesty’s 77th birthday celebration at the ministry’s surau.
Acting Minster at the Prime Minister’s Office and Acting Minister of Finance and Economy II Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani attended the ceremony.
The ceremony started with Sunnat Hajat prayer and proceeded with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, Tahlil and Doa Kesyukuran before concluding with mass Asar prayer led by officer from the Mosque Affairs Department Mohd Amin bin Haji Salim. – Azlan Othman & James Kon
