Ministry of Home Affairs
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) and Mukim and Village Consultative Council (MPMK) organised a Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony at Az-Zakireen Mosque yesterday.
The event began with Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman presenting a waqaf to Imam Haji Hidayatullah bin Haji Zulkifilee followed by the handing over of donations to orphans.
The ceremony continued with the recitation of Al-Quran, Tahlil and Asar prayer.
Legislative Council members, permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, heads of departments, senior officials, village heads, deputy village heads, acting village heads, Brunei-Muara District MPMK members and residents were also present. – Adib Noor
Prime Minister’s Office
The Prime Minister’s Office organised a Khatam Al-Quran and waqaf presentation during the Tedarus Al-Quran closing ceremony at the Ash-Shaliheen Mosque yesterday.
The event began with Deputy Minister (Security and Law) at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Paduka Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu presenting the waqaf.
The ceremony also saw the recitation of Doa Tahlil, Dikir, Doa Selamat and mass Asar prayer.

Council of Woman of Brunei Darussalam
The Women’s Welfare Association (PKP) Belait District hosted a Tedarus Al-Quran at a café in Kampong Serusop yesterday.
Seventy members representing 13 associations under the Council of Woman of Brunei Darussalam (CWBD) participated in the event chaired by CWBD Vice President III and President of PKP Hajah Kertini binti Orang Kaya Paduka Setia Diraja Abang Haji Abu Hanifah.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, led by PKP Vice President Hadijah binti Haji Awang Hussin, while Sayyidul Istighfar and Doa were recited by Julianawati binti Hamdan. – Rokiah Mahmud
Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam
Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) and its group of companies and subsidiaries organised a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony yesterday.
The event at Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a Khatam Al-Quran, led by mosque officer Md Haneesuddin bin Sakdon.
It continued with BIBD presenting a waqaf of several vacuum units to the mosque.
Ra’es of Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Associate Professor Dr Abdul Nasir bin Haji Abdul Rani was present as Chairman of the BIBD Group Shariah Advisory Body.
BIBD Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Junaidi bin Haji Masri, members of the BIBD Group Shariah Advisory Body and 30 tahfiz students were also present. – Adib Noor
Amal Jariah Group Brunei Darussalam
Amal Jariah Group Brunei Darussalam organised a Khatam Al-Quran at Az-Zakireen Mosque in RPN Kampong Meragang recently.
Datin Hajah Misnah binti Haji Daud led the group at the ceremony that saw the handing over of waqaf to the mosque. – James Kon
