Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman attended a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony to mark the 52nd anniversary of the renaming of Bandar Brunei to Bandar Seri Begawan at Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque yesterday.
Imam Mohd Hasnal bin Haji Mohammad led the recitation of Khatam while Takhtim and Doa Khatam was read by Mosque Affairs Officer Begawan Mudim Haji Amran bin Haji Mohd Salleh.
Over 600 from all walks of life participated in the Khatam Al-Quran which is an annual gathering organised by the Bandar Seri Begawan Municipal Department.
