Religious ceremonies and talks held by ministries and local communities continue to enliven the holy month of Ramadhan.
The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) organised a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Sungai Akar yesterday.
Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong attended with Deputy Permanent Secretary at the MPRT Haji Mohd Yusree bin Haji Junaidi.
The ministry also presented waqaf to the mosque. The delegation from the ministry participated in the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, Surah-Surah lazim, Takhtim, Doa Khatam and Dikir Marhaban.
The mosque also held a religious talk on April 15, attended by Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali Apong and Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin.
The talk Kelebihan dan Kemuliaan Ramadhan touched on the blessings and rewards of Allah the Almighty from performing religious observation during the month.
Meanwhile, the alumni of Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (ITQSHHB) held a Khatam Al-Quran and Tahlil ceremony on Sunday.
The ceremony was attended by ITQSHHB Principal Pengiran Haji Amiruddin bin Pengiran Haji Damit. The ceremony was carried out online and aimed at forging closer ties among former students. The Tahlil ceremony was dedicated to departed alumni and teachers.
