A full dress rehearsal for Saturday’s Majlis Ramah Mersa Bersama Rakyat or get-together ceremony with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in conjunction with the monarch’s 77th birthday celebration was held at Municipal Field, Jalan Sultan in the Belait District yesterday.
Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman as the chairman of the National Committee for His Majesty’s 76th birthday celebration oversaw the rehearsal, accompanied by Acting Belait District Officer Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Muhammad.
Permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, heads of departments, senior officers and the Ministry of Home Affairs staff, as well as Belait District’s executive administrative committee members for the royal birthday celebration were also present.
The minister viewed the full dress rehearsal and toured the venue in preparation for the get-together ceremony. – Daniel Lim
