The 45th ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Drug Matters (ASOD) was convened via video conference from October 2 to 4. The meeting included consultations and thematic working groups aimed at strengthening regional collaboration in addressing drug-related issues.

The Sultanate was represented by Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Zalani bin Haji Ismail, accompanied by senior officers from the bureau.

Discussions centred on current drug trends, best practices and regional cooperation in combating illicit drugs. Delegates also reviewed progress on ASOD initiatives and the implementation of the ASEAN Workplan on Securing Communities Against Illicit Drugs 2016-2025.
