The hotspot map is a reminder for residents living in certain mukims to not leave their homes unless necessary.

This was said by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar during the daily press conference yesterday.

The minister was asked to elaborate on the aim of sharing the map during the press conference on September 26.

He said the mukims in red zones are those with more than 80 cases within a week.

The minister said residents should not be visiting neighbours. “The public should know that in a red zone, the risk of infection is very high. Everyone should be vigilant and should advise one another to not leave their homes unless necessary,” said the minister.
