Recycling drive to reduce waste

Green Depot will conduct its seventh recycling drive at the Kuala Belait (KB) Sentral Shopping Centre on February 14 from 1pm to 4pm.

The event is aimed at encouraging the public to practise recycling.

Green Depot encourages the public to drop by with recyclable items – paper, cardboard, metal, aluminium, plastic and electronic waste (computer waste) – to reduce waste generated and disposed into landfills.

Users can also register an account at and track their recycling records, which has the added benefit of generating monetary rewards for their recycling efforts.

Green Depot was a project initiated in December 2018 under Green Brunei and supported by Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) to contribute to the nation’s goal of moving towards zero waste.

Since its establishment, it has collected over 51,000 kilogrammes of recyclable items from over 950 users.
