I recently received a letter regarding an unpaid parking ticket from 2007, and was ordered to pay the outstanding fee as well as nearly BND30 in compounded late-payment penalties.
Why did it take 15 years to issue the citation?
This is not a letter of protest; I am planning to pay in full. However, due to the time lapse, no one in my family can even remember who had driven the car on that day. If the citation is meant to discourage us from violating municipal law, perhaps it would be more effective if it was sent out more promptly, to remind drivers that parking in the capital is not free.
