THE Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) debuted its new and enhanced operational uniforms at the RBAF 58th anniversary celebration at the Bolkiah Garrison yesterday.
The new military uniforms, rolled out for all three services of the RBAF, are made of a new Digital Disruptive Pattern (D2P) design fabric.
As seen during the main parade yesterday, the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) uniform still retains the same colour scheme, save for the pockets which are now positioned vertically instead of sideways. The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) garb now comes in navy blue, while Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) officers will now sport new grey outfits.
The uniforms’ D2P pattern acts as a camouflage and gives the officers that added concealment when working in their respective operational environments.
The design is introduced to provide distinction between the three services and to adhere to the military standards adopted by various regional and international nations.
