The British Loan Service Community Shop at Berakas Camp donated BND3,000 to the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Charity Fund yesterday.

RBAF Director of Personnel and Charity Fund Chairperson Lieutenant Colonel Muhd Wata bin Abdullah Awat received the donation from shop managers Emma Battersby and Katie Cone.

The shop managers hope to make similar donations to other local charities in the future, focussing on those requiring special care or with disabilities, minority groups, local schools, animal welfare, and wildlife conservation.

The British Loan Service Community Shop is a charitable organisation that sells clothing, toys, and household items to the community, run by spouses of the British Loan Service personnel. Its team volunteers their time to receive items gifted by the public to be recycled or resold to generate funds for future donations.
