THE Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held an opening ceremony for the Tedarus and Khatam Al-Quran (58 times) at the Surau Al-Fai’zun, Berakas Camp yesterday.
The event is held in conjunction with the 58th anniversary of RBAF and to encourage the reading of Al-Quran among officers.
Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Khairul Hamed bin Haji Lampoh was the guest of honour.
Also in attendance were senior officers, officers and RBAF personnel.
The Tedarus and Khatam Al-Quran are events organised by RBAF to enliven the anniversary celebration.
The reading of Al-Quran (58 times) by RBAF personnel is held across Suraus at all RBAF garrisons from March, and will end in August.
This year, the event sees the participation of personnel from the Ministry of Defence, Royal Brunei Land Force, Royal Brunei Navy, Royal Brunei Air Force, RBAF Training Institute, RBAF Defence Academy and Special Forces Regiment.
