Raya festivities hit fever pitch

Concepts Computer hosted a festive luncheon for its staff and members of the media yesterday.

The event was aimed at fostering closer ties among the staff while celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

FORMER STAFF OF RADIO TELEVISYEN BRUNEI

Some 50 former staff from programmes and engineering sections of Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB) reunited for a Hari Raya gathering at a hotel in Kampong Anggerek Desa yesterday.

A cake-cutting ceremony, led by Chairperson Hajah Zainab binti Haji Zainal Abidin and joined by a number of veteran staff, marked the occasion.

The highlight was a lucky draw with prizes contributed by Sparkles By Nord and Mulia Hotel.

UNIVERSITI BRUNEI DARUSSALAM MOSQUE MUSLIMAH GROUP

The Mosque Muslimah Group of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) hosted a Riang Ria Aidilfitri celebration for 14 orphans from the Rimba National Housing Scheme, 40 Muqaddam students and 39 Al-Quran students as well as 11 teachers, at the mosque’s Muzakarah Room on Friday.

The event was aimed at bringing smiles to orphans and children attending Al-Quran and Muqaddam classes organised every Friday at the mosque.

The event also saw Imam Mohammad Amirul Rahmad bin Haji Mohammad also handing over donations to the orphans.

Members of the mosque Takmir committee and the Muslimah Group attended.
