    Raya festivities hit fever pitch

    Proton Brunei PAD Motors Sdn Bhd held a dinner for its management and staff to celebrate Hari Raya and award top employees at the Aman Hills hall recently.

    PAD Motors Chairman Tan Kah Boon and Managing Partner Hambali bin Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Salleh presented the awards including long service, top sales and newcomer.

    A special award was also presented to Proton Brunei Marketing Manager Ibnu Sharul bin Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Ismail for best employee.

    Hambali expressed Proton Brunei’s gratitude to its staff for contributing to the company’s sixth place in vehicle sales in the country.

    Local Liverpool Football Club fans held a Hari Raya gathering to celebrate the English club’s third place in the premier league table and their automatic qualification to the champion’s league 2020-2021 at Mulia Hotel in Anggerek Desa on Thursday.

    There was also a recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil for departed Liverpool fans, a memorabilia gallery on display, a singing performance and a lucky draw.

    Kemuda Institute held a Hari Raya celebration for its students and lecturers from both Bandar Seri Begawan and Kuala Belait campuses recently.

    Kemuda Institute Chairman Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Muhammad was the guest of honour.

    The event began with welcoming remarks by Kemuda Institute Principal Mohammed Khairy Yusrin bin Haji Abdul Salam, followed by the recitation of Doa led by Kemuda Institute Student Council’s religious affairs officer.

    The event, featuring a lucky draw and singing performances from students and staff, was aimed at fostering closer ties among students and staff.

    BKC (Berbasikal untuk Kesihatan dan Ceria) Riders gathered for the first time in celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri at Telanai Room of Aneka Rasa Restaurant in Kiulap recently.

    Themed ‘Maie Tah Kitani BKC Beraya’, the event began with a welcoming address and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Major (Rtd) Pengiran Haji Rudy Halyamin bin Pengiran Haji Chuchu, followed by opening remarks from Haji Amdan Musa and the recitation of Doa by Major (Rtd) Pengiran Haji Rudy.

    The event saw a lucky draw and performances by BKC Riders members as guests enjoyed the spread of Raya favourite dishes.

    BKC Riders was formed in 2018 by former students of Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam (SMJA) Secondary School. It currently has over 30 active and non-active members, including retirees from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF).

    The group’s activities include participating in Bandarku Ceria events on Sundays, weekly Wednesday night rides and cycling events abroad to places such as Pulau Pinang, Labuan, Kota Kinabalu and Mukah Sarawak.

    The event was aimed at fostering closer ties among the members and their families as well as serving as a meet-and-greet event.

    Former students of Berakas English School gathered to celebrate Hari Raya at De Coral restaurant in Beribi recently. The event saw the recitation of Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, welcoming remarks by the current principal, singing performances, and a lucky draw.
