The Administration Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) conducted the Semanis Ramadhan charity project to provide its officers and staff an opportunity to contribute food necessities and green packets to the underprivileged in Kampong Kuala Tutong District yesterday.
“We receive a monthly assistance of BND390 from the Community Development Department. But it is currently on a renewal process. I go to sea with my raft to catch fish, climb coconut trees and sell it for BND1 each,” said recipient Ruzaini bin Haji Awang Tengah said.
Other recipients were Hamid bin Jaya of Kampong Lubok Pulau who has a family of 12; Pengiran Haji Omar bin Pengiran Damit with family of five in Kampong Keriam; and Nurul Hidayah binti Md Salleh from Luagan Duduk who has nine children.
