An awareness talk on autism spectrum disorder was organised by the Standard Chartered Bank recently.
Specialists in multi-disciplinary fields were invited to educate attendees on how to better support special-needs children.
Chairperson of the Standard Chartered Recreational Club Sharon Tan said, “Awareness talks such as this not only fosters greater understanding among our employees, it can also potentially empower people with autism and their families, friends and educators into seeking early intervention therapies.
“We believe in working together to raise tolerance and understanding so we can create a more inclusive community for those who are neurodiverse or living with any disability. After all it takes a village to raise a child.”
Around 60 people including staff from Standard Chartered Bank attended the talk.
