The current active weather condition is forecast to last until March 5 due to the development of rain clouds over Brunei Darussalam. Occasional showers and thundershowers are expected with wind gust up to 45 kilometres per hour during or near heavy showers or thundershowers.
The Sultanate is still in the Northeast Monsoon season where active weather condition usually occurs in the afternoon and at night until early morning. Over Brunei waters, sea state is generally slight and may reach moderate state up to 1.2 metres.
The public is advised to take precautionary actions. There is a risk of flash floods especially at low-lying and flood prone areas as well as near the river banks during continuous heavy rain and also during high tide. Landslides and falling trees are also possible during heavy showers and gusty condition.
