PWM moving on right track, says president

“We are more ambitious with technology now because we have young, dynamic and hard-working members willing to contribute in many ways. We have a strong team within the association to deliver what needs to be done moving forward,” said Persatuan Warganegara Malaysia (PWM) President Azlan Ahmad. He said this during an event held at the Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong yesterday in conjunction with the installation of the association’s newly elected and appointed members.

Malaysian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Dato’ Raja Reza bin Raja Zaib Shah was the guest of honour.

The ceremony also saw the association presenting recognition and appreciation to past officers and advisors for their accomplishments throughout their terms.

Re-appointed president, Azlan Ahmad who is serving another term as President said that PWM has been making progress in line with PWM’s aim and purpose set within the constitution.

“We strongly believe that we are moving on the right track in building up the plan for our membership drive. Soon everything will be convenient with e-commerce and payment gateway implementation,” he said.

He also expressed gratitude for the support from the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for allowing PWM to participate in the nation’s progress and development.

“We have always enjoyed the essential unity of culture and the spirit of muhibbah,” he said.

He added, “We have worked and will continue to collaborate as citizens of Malaysia and residents of our host country, Brunei Darussalam.”
