A total of BND135,819 in proceeds from the Charity Polo Day 2022 was donated to Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam during a ceremony at Istana Nurul Izzah yesterday.
His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen and Her Royal Highness Princess ‘Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah attended the event. Also in attendance was Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Bahar.
Executive Trustee of Pusat Ehsan Pengiran Datin Hajah Noraini binti Pengiran Dipa Negara Laila Diraja Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin; and Cityneon Displays and Construction Sdn Bhd’s Managing Director Dato Ting Jack Chai and representative Jenny Lo were also present.
Their Royal Highnesses received the mock cheque from Dato Ting Jack Chai before presenting it to Pengiran Datin Hajah Noraini.
The Charity Polo 2022, in its sixth edition, was organised by the Brunei Polo Team in collaboration with the Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club and Pusat Ehsan.
Among the highlights was the auctioning of a polo match mallet autographed by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, which fetched BND3,500.
