Brunei Darussalam continues to maintain its record of no new COVID-19 cases, keeping the national tally at 141.
There are at present 88 individuals undergoing quarantine in accordance with the Infectious Diseases Act (Chapter 204), while 2,735 have completed their quarantine and are in good condition.
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar provided the updates at the daily press conference yesterday.
“Alhamdulillah, with the grace of Allah the Almighty, there is no new COVID-19 case in the country. The number of COVID-19 cases in Brunei Darussalam remains at 141 cases, while the number of recovered cases stands at 138,” he said.
With regards to the one patient being treated at the National Isolation Centre (NIC), the minister said, “The patient requires a heart-lung machine (ECMO) as well as respiratory assistance. Let us together pray for the patient to be granted full recovery by Allah the Almighty.”
In the past 24 hours, 415 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 23,708 tests.

In its breakdown of COVID- 19 cases in the country, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed there were 110 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
