TO SHED more light on the latest developments in Islamic Finance research, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA)’s Faculty of Islamic Economics and Finance (FEKIm) with cooperation from the Sekolah Tinggi Ekonomi Islam (STEI) Tazkia, Indonesia organised a public lecture on Islamic Finance yesterday.
Present at the lecture were rectors of UNISSA Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal and STEI Takzia Dr Murniati Mukhlisin.
Three research papers were presented during the lecture, namely Cryptography: Deciphered Security Through History that was delivered by Head of Post-Graduate Programme at FEKIm, UNISSA Dr Hakimah binti Yaacob; Conversion From Saving and Loan Cooperative to Shariah Saving and Financing Cooperative delivered by STEI Takzia’s Director for Post-Graduate Dr Mukhamad Yasid and also Developing Value Based Services For Indonesian Micro-Takaful delivered by Lecturer from STEI Takzia Dr Achmad Firdaus.
UNISSA said that apart from imparting latest developments in global Islamic Finance practices, the event also served to boost relations between both institutions following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
