THE Tutong Sixth Form Centre (PTET) welcomed 179 Year 12 lower sixth students, most of whom come from its feeder secondary schools in the Tutong District.
Principal Hajah Murni binti Abdullah congratulated students who have worked hard to get into the sixth form centre, and shared PTET’s academic achievements from 2016-2018.
“These achievements are a result of hard work and consistent collaboration from all parties including the sixth form’s administration, tutors, parents and the most important is how students have the drive to be consist,” she said.
“Collaboration between the sixth form and parents is the main key in ensuring excellence in students’ learning. Parents are welcome to discuss and exchange ideas with the PTET administration and tutors in improving students’ learning. Parents are also welcome to share any suggestion through our PTA (Parent-Teacher Association).”
Deputy Principal (Administration) Shanofazli bin Haji Sabli briefed parents and students on matters pertaining to the PTET administration, while the Deputy Principal (Academic) briefed on academic matters. PIBG Chairman Haji Amit bin Haji Omar discussed the Parent-Teacher Association.
The event marked the commencement of the four-days orientation programme for the 2019/2020 intake. Activities included team building, ice-breaking and leadership roles facilitated by tutors and students of PTET.
