A contingent from the Fikrah Club of Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) visited rural Belait as part of the Ukhuwah Islamiyyah Programme.

Conducted in collaboration with the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) the March 18 programme was attended by 40 KUPU SB students who conducted religious as well as community activities which included special talks related to Solat (prayers), clinics on Taharah, and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah.

With the theme ‘Ukhuwah Penjana Negara Zikir’, the programme was introduced by KUPU SB to provide exposure and experience for the students to uphold the concept of Amar Ma’ruf Nahi Mungkar (Enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong), as well as instilling a sense of community.

Faculty of Usuluddin Dean at KUPU SB Dr Mikdar Rusdi and senior officers from KUPU SB and PDI were also present.

PDI Acting Director Haji Abdul Aziz bin Kahar presented certificates to the participants at the end of the programme.

The contingent also handed over basic necessities to less fortunate residents in the
surrounding area.

The programme has been organised since 2011 with the concept of the three ‘S’, referring to Syiar, Salam and Silaturahim.
