THE Counselling and Career Unit of Sufri Bolkiah Secondary School in Tutong, in collaboration with the Department of Schools, organised a Hala Tuju programme for its Years 11 and 10 Express students recently.

The programme focussed on career options and study progression after the GCE ‘O’ Level examinations. The programme aimed to help students locate their field of interest.

Representatives from government agencies and institutes delivered presentations and interacted with students. Talks were also held on the application procedures and specifics for colleges and occupations.

The event concluded with the presentation of certificates by the school administration to the speakers.

Meanwhile, 234 Katok Secondary School students attended a similar programme yesterday to learn more about career pathways.

The programme saw representatives from government bodies and colleges presenting talks. A question-and-answer session was also held.

Booths were also set up featuring an array of colleges and medical fields, particularly dental technology and nursing, as well as academic programmes such as the BTEC Pearson programme.
