Programme sharpens staff competency

The Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Strategic Management and Quality Assurance Unit recently organised a Nadwah Murabbi programme to enhance the quality and competency of its academic staff, and Islamic education educators.

KUPU SB Faculty of Usuluddin Senior Professor Dr Mikdar Rusdi presented on ‘Understanding the Islamic Education concept through the History of Prophet Adam (pbuh),’ while KUPU SB Assistant Lecturer at the Core Knowledge Centre Ustaz Haji Mohammad Shahrol Azmi bin Haji Abdul Muluk discussed ‘The Values of Islamic Education through the stories of Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh) in Al-Quran.’

The objectives of the programme were to discuss the basic concepts of education; current innovations in religious teaching and learning; improve knowledge, skills and attitude among academics; encourage interaction and discussion among education expertise on issues in learning and teaching processes; and have KUPU SB as the centre of knowledge in the field of teaching and Islamic education.

Islamic education teachers from the Islamic Studies Department and Department of Schools, lecturers and students of the KUPU SB also attended.
