The Mawar Association organised a programme dubbed ‘Women Empowerment: Supporting Me’ at the Health Promotion Centre, Berakas last Sunday.

The programme aimed at raising awareness on the importance of mental health among women as well as to assist them in exploring their strengths, potential and ways to boost their confidence to better manage their daily responsibilities.

The association invited clinical psychologist at the Ministry of Health Nor Syahmun binti Haji Matassan as a special guest speaker where some 41 women participated in the programme.

The programme highlighted the awareness of the public, especially women, on the importance of emotional stability and methods of attaining it through a good support system of the surrounding community.

Participants took part in group activities to better understand the topic being shared.

At the end of the activities, the learning points were shared by invited facilitator from the Islamic Da’wah Centre Pengiran Norhayati binti Pengiran Haji Kasharan.
