This was followed with the recitation of verses 57-59 from Surah An-Nisaa by Abdul Aziz bin Noor Nasran, the winner of Category ‘E’ in the Al-Quran Memorisation and Understanding Competition for 1440 Hijrah, while the translation was read by Mohammad Fahmi Izzuddin bin Begawan Mudim Haji Tamin.

The event’s main highlight was a special lecture by the guest of honour on the topic Ketaatan Beraja (Loyalty to the Sovereign).

The ceremony continued with a mass Sunnat Hajat prayer and the recitation of Surah Al-Waqi’ah and Sayyidul Istighfar led by Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque Officer Mohd Hasnal bin Haji Mohammad.

The programme concluded with the recitation of Doa Peliharakan Sultan by the mosque superintendent.

Apart from fostering loyalty and a sense of gratitude towards His Majesty as a benevolent and caring monarch, the programme is also a platform for the Information Department to deliver a better understanding of His Majesty’s aspirations in guiding Brunei as a Baldatun Thayyibatun Warrabun Ghafur, in accordance with the concept of a Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) and a Zikir Nation.
