A missing person’s report was lodged at the Muara Police Station on December 29, 2020, said the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) in a statement, following a viral picture of a body of a drowned victim in the Malaysian waters of Labuan.

The victim was wearing a coverall with the ‘Hengyi’ label.

A man was reportedly missing from Pulau Muara Besar.

The RBPF, the Fire and Rescue Department and Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd conducted a search operation to look for the missing man.

The RBPF and the Royal Malaysia Police are investigating to verify whether the identity of the drowned victim matches the one in the missing person’s report.
