Private schools hold gathering, donate to DANA

Members of the Private Schools Leadership Committee (JAPSS) and Private School Education (BPS), Ministry of Education organised a year-end gathering and appreciation event at Tarindak d’Polo, Jerudong yesterday.

Teachers and school leaders networked and exchanged ideas as well as shared their expertise in the inaugural gathering.

Several school leaders were also acknowledged for their contribution.

The day also saw a presentation of donations to the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans (DANA), private schools and JAPSS.

The donation was part of the proceeds from the recent walkathon organised by JAPSS and BPS as well as from donors.

Half of the donations amounting BND13,684.91 was donated to private schools under JAPSS, while BND4,206.97 was donated to DANA and JAPSS received BND9,579.44.

Acting Director-General of Education at the Ministry of Education Hajah Anis Faudzulani binti Haji Dzulkiflee was the guest of honour and presented the donations.

Representatives from JAPSS, BPS, committee members and guests were also present at the event.
