Princess Fadzilah scoops Player of the Match award

Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah of the Falcons received the Player of the Match award after playing against Thundernets in the Brunei Netball League 2021 at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex yesterday.

Her Royal Highness, who is team captain, was recognised for her role in the centre position.

Falcons slipped to a 37-39 loss to Thundernets in their second game of the league organised by the Brunei Netball Association (BNA).

BNA President Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) Hajah Wan Shahlimar binti Haji Suhaili presented the plaque.

Meanwhile, Roses and Hokage Warriors registered their second win of the tournament after victories over Stingers and Hydra.

Both are on an unbeaten run as Roses defeated Stingers 41-31 in the early morning match while Hokage Warriors beat Hydra 36-33.

Roses midcourt player Nur Amirah Fazzeratul Hidayah was named the Player of the Match in recognition of her individual performance against the Stingers.

BNA Vice President Hajah Rosediana binti Haji Hidop presented the plaque after the game between Roses and Stingers.

Hokage Warriors defeated Hydra 36-33 in the last match of the day to join Roses on two wins in the league.

Zuraidah binti Haji Abdul Amit from the Hokage Warriors won the Player of the Match award after impressing in various roles including centre, goal shooter and goal attack.

The league continues this weekend with Hokage Warriors and Thundernets opening the round of matches in the early morning session.

The Falcons will meet the Stingers while Roses will aim for a third straight win against Hydra.
