The Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Brunei Darussalam has announced that the Institute for Leadership Development of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has re-launched the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Award for Sports Research.

The award aims to support research that depends on the sound scientific linguistic approach and answers the most asked research questions as it sheds light on urgent opportunities in relative sportive fields in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The award seeks to provide financial support for academic efforts that develop new basic sportive knowledge or that builds its hypotheses on the available knowledge that may have a lasting impact on sports thoughts.

The award provides research grants worth from USD80,000 to USD120,000 in prize money to fund each research project, which can also go up to USD1 million.

While the award comes within one of the quality of life initiatives in the Saudi National Vision 2030, it is the Independent Scientific Committee established by the International University of Sport Sciences and Technology in the Olympic capital of Lausanne, Switzerland which determines the recipients of these research grants. The deadline of receiving the researches submission is January 15, 2021.
