Prince ‘Abdul Malik attends Khatam Al-Quran

His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik as Chairman of the Committee of Governors of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah attended a Khatam Al-Quran yesterday.

The ceremony at Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in the capital was held to reap multiple blessings during the holy month of Ramadhan.

His Royal Highness was welcomed by Minister of Defence II cum Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister of Health cum Deputy Chairman of Yayasan Board of Directors Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office cum member of Yayasan Committee of Governors Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud and Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development cum Acting Managing Director of Yayasan Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak.

Members of the Yayasan Committee of Governors, the Yayasan Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees for the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans, Yayasan personnel and Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah School teachers also attended.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Takhtim Al-Quran by 30 Yayasan officers, led by Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Secondary School teacher Dr Haji Samsul Muawan bin Haji Shodiq.

It continued with a Doa Khatam and Doa Selamat read by Chief Syar’ie Judge Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, and mass Maghrib prayer.
