Pride and gratitude: Recipients thank His Majesty

It was a moment of pride and gratitude for over 600 medal recipients as they received state honorary medals at the investiture ceremony at Istana Nurul Iman yesterday.

Recipients conveyed their appreciation to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for recognising their hard work and pledged to continue serving the country with loyalty and dedication towards its progress.

Head of International Affairs Division at Radio Television Brunei Frankie Chan expressed gratitude and Junjung Kasih to His Majesty for conferring the medal to him.

“Today is very meaningful and will fuel my spirit to improve my service quality in His Majesty’s government. I will strive to be a good example among my colleagues,” he said.

Azmah binti Haji Ahad, who has been serving the Information Department at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) since 2006, expressed her gratitude to Allah the Almighty for receiving the Pingat Indah Kerja Baik (PIKB) in recognition of her service and contributions.

She said, “The medal signifies my hard work throughout the years and I wish to express my word of thank you and Junjung Kasih to His Majesty for conferring me with the medal.”

Siti Norasilah @ Anisah binti Haji Asli, who began her services at the Ministry of Health in 2007 and was later transferred to the Information Department at the PMO in 2011, was also conferred the PIKB.

“After 17 years of service in His Majesty’s government, I hope to be consistent in shouldering the responsibilities given to me. I pray that His Majesty is blessed with continuous good health.” – Lyna Mohamad
