The Magistrate’s Court fixed May 9, 2022 to hold a pre-trial conference in the case of a local woman who denied a charge of making a false statement in a video recording that was likely to cause public alarm.

Hajah Faizah binti Haji Abdul Gapar faces a charge which carries the penalty of a maximum fine of BND3,000 and three years’ imprisonment.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Raihan Nabilah binti Haji Ahmad Ghazali’s case alleges that Hajah Faizah claimed that the police found a restaurant to be operating with employees violating quarantine, which was false.
