THE pre-dawn talk held at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque yesterday focussed on the significance of Doa (supplications) as an act of faith for Muslims.
The religious reminder was delivered by Buhuth Officer at the State Mufti’s Office Ustaz Pengiran Zamiri bin Pengiran Haji Jamaludin who pointed out that Doa is the essence of worship, especially when seeking the blessings and protection from Allah the Almighty.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud; Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yussof; Permanent Secretary at the PMO Haji Roslan bin Haji Taja’ah; and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the MoRA Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang were present.
The talk is part of the weekly Masjidku Makmur, Negaraku Berkat programme, which is jointly conducted by the MoRA and PMO, with the objective of encouraging more congregants to attend the mass Subuh prayer.
