Pre-dawn talk on best things to do in first 10 days of Zulhijjah

THE pre-dawn talk at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque yesterday addressed the virtues of the first 10 days of Zulhijjah, which is the month of the Islamic pilgrimage.

The talk was delivered by Istinbat Senior Officer at the State Mufti’s Office Haji Mohamad Raimi bin Haji Tengah who also described the various recommended acts for the 10 days, which include fasting, performing Sunnat prayers, reciting Al-Quran, Zikir and Selawat, giving to charity, and performing the I’tikaf.

Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud; Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof; and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang were present.

Organised by the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the weekly programme is aimed at increasing the number of congregants for the mass Subuh prayer prior to the Bandarku Ceria event.
