Praises for Myanmar expatriates

Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Brunei Darussalam U Htin Lynn praised Myanmar nationals working in Brunei Darussalam for their professionalism and diligence that have earned them recognition in the country.

The ambassador also called on Myanmar nationals to continue to keep the fine tradition of abiding by the law of the land.

He made these comments at a flag hoisting ceremony to mark the 73rd Independence Day of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar at the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Brunei Darussalam in Kampong Rimba, Gadong yesterday.

The envoy also delivered the Independence Day message of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar President U Win Myint.

He also expressed his appreciation to the Brunei government for the extended stay of Myanmar nationals stranded in the country following the disruption of international air travel.

The ambassador paid gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for granting Myanmar nationals the opportunity to work in Brunei.
