The new Mitsubishi Xpander facelift edition comes with solid SUV styling, comfortable and pleasant drivability and is made practical and versatile, both interior and exterior.

The seven-seater family-friendly compact MPV is powered by a 1.5-litre, 16-valve DOHC engine with advanced MIVEC (Mitsubishi Intelligent and Innovative Valve timing and lift Electronic Control system).

The highly durable MIVEC Aluminium Block Engine combines power and efficiency, delivering a smooth performance with low fuel consumption and reduced noise.

Coming in with a four-speed in automatic transmission, Xpander’s driving experience is luxurious due to quality construction and comprehensive anti-noise and anti-vibration measures.

In terms of the Xpander’s exterior, a number of features make it stands out from the previous Xpander model, such as a dynamic chrome front grille with two sporty stripe two-tone coloured louvres shaped with wing upwards, 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels, shark fin antenna and the newly designed black embossed pattern high grade fabric seats.

Mitsubishi designers have also increased the overall length from the previous model. The facelift Xpander measures in overall of 4,475mm, overall width of 1,750mm, and overall height of 1,730mm and with a wheelbase of 2,775mm.

The new Xpander can make any turning effortless with easier manoeuvrability, especially in tight spaces such as shopping mall parking bays or small and winding country-side roads.

Similar to the previous Xpander is the ground clearance of 205mm which provide better ability on rougher or flooded roads, higher eye-point and clear visibility for the driver.

It also maintains its spacious features with an interior layout that provides comfortable entry and exit for passengers. Three passengers can fit in the second-row seats and another two in the back row.

The second row seats offer a ratio of 60:40 split and third row at 50:50 split, which can be folded down to create a spacious flat cargo area with enough luggage space to hold four-gallon water bottles. There are also 12 functional storage compartments.

The Xpander’s seats are newly designed with black embossed pattern high grade fabric, giving the driver and passengers an added comfort of driving.

As standard in any models, the audio system comes with quality tuner AM/FM radio, CD/MP3 player with a USB port compatible on floor console, enabling easy connection with digital audio players for charging and listening, while the new shark fin antenna can pick up satellite radio signals faster while enhancing the Mitsubishi Xpander’s look.

Its front face feature is designed with the latest version of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s trademark of Dynamic Shield with a geometric design, portraying the balance between dynamism and power. It offers greater protection for the passengers, pedestrians, and the vehicle itself.

The facelift Xpander has the same progressive design elements as the previous model, such as a chrome upper front grille and swept back daytime running lamps and the side bumpers that are flush with the body.

The front LED lights are placed high on the bonnet to improve visibility for pedestrians and oncoming vehicles, while the front fog lights are placed at the lower front bumper.

The L-shaped lamp cluster extends across into the tailgate with powerful LED tail lamps while stop lamps make the Mitsubishi Xpander more visible to vehicles behind it.

The new design of the 16″ alloy wheels are wider than conventional wheels to provide a more precise steering and better grip in wet and dry roads.

The Xpander’s safety features include the standards such as dual airbags for driver and passenger, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution system (EBD), Active Stability Control (ASTC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA).

It has an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) that provides rear-end risk reduction by flashing the hazard lights as the brake lamps turn on to warn vehicles behind.

Another safety feature is the inclusion of pre-tensioner seat belts with force limiter designed to recoil instantly during frontal collision limiting injuries to drivers and passengers.

The new facelift Xpander comes in sterling silver metallic, jet black mica, deep bronze metallic, quartz white pearl, red metallic and graphite grey.
