The Youth Development Centre (PPB) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with three strategic partners during a ceremony at the PPB Bina Diri Hall yesterday.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin witnessed the MoU signing between Aewon Garment and Embroidery Company, Royal Brunei Catering Sdn Bhd (RBC) and Mulia Hotel.
PPB was represented by its Assistant Director Fauziah binti Haji Md Salleh and Youth and Sports Officer Amhra Farahiyah binti Haji Mohd Hamdilah.
Aewon Garment and Embroidery Company was represented by Managing Director Lau Chai Seng and Project Manager Francesca Chong.
Signing for Mulia Hotel was General Manager Jake Goh and Director of Operations Mohamad Iswandi bin Haji Maaruf.
Appearing for RBC was General Manager Haji Jeff Hadiman bin Dato Paduka Haji Danial, and Senior Executive for the Training and Development Programme Aaliyah Humeira binti Chin Abdullah.
The PPB Assistant Director said the MoU will enable PPB trainees to gain more knowledge and experience during their work attachments, as well as a chance at employment.
“In addition, the strategic partners are given the opportunity to send their staff to PPB, for those who need upskilling and subsequently the certification being offered. All of the initiatives under the MoU are towards capacity-building,” she said.
