Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Junaidi bin Haji Masri handed over postcards to Network Integrity Assurance Technologies Sdn Bhd (NiAT) Deputy CEO Siti Nur Aazzah binti Pehin Dato Haji Abdul Aziz at the BIBD Headquarters in the capital on Thursday.

The postcards containing creative messages, pictures and artistic expressions supporting NiAT’s initiative in meeting the goal of delivering 4,000 postcards to space.

The postcards, collected from the bank’s employees, family members, friends and students from the BIBD ALAF programme, will be part of a collection of postcards from the Sultanate to be sent to space via the Blue Origin’s New Shepard Rocket.

It will be stamped ‘Flown to Space’ and delivered back to the address on the postcards.

The initiative is in line with BIBD’s support of the United Nations’ fourth sustainable development goal, which is Quality Education, to raise awareness on space research and realise Brunei’s efforts, under NiAT, in building the country’s very own satellite.
