The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) is seeking information regarding a hit-and-run involving a car and a motorcycle on June 22 at about 7.21pm in the vicinity of Fayze Department Store in Kampong Salambigar.
The police said initial investigations found that the accident may have taken place due to the driver’s conduct while entering the junction in the area.
The motorcyclist was injured and rushed to Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.
The police added that they are ascertaining the identity of the driver and advise the individual to come forward to Berakas Police Station to assist in the investigation.
Those who witnessed the incident are also called on to help in the investigation.
The police reminded the public that under Section 34(1), Chapter 68 of Road Traffic Act, drivers involved in accidents are given seven days to inform authorities. Failure to do somay lead to a fine of BND4,000 and six months’ imprisonment.
