Police probe continues in homemade rifle case

The Magistrate’s Court yesterday ordered police to continue investigations in a case against a local man charged with possessing a homemade rifle.

DPP Nurul Fitri binti Kiprawi’s charge alleges Norfadzillah bin Abdul Rahman, 32, of possessing a homemade rifle in a vehicle at a house in Jalan Kecil Birau, Tutong District at 7.58am on January 11.

The charge carries a penalty of imprisonment of five to 15 years and between three to 12 whippings.

Acting Senior Magistrate Kamaliah Fadhilah binti Haji Ibrahim also ordered the defendant to be remanded and adjourned the case to January 16.
