THE Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) actively conducts the Neighbourhood Watch programme, as evident when Neighbourhood Watch members in collaboration with three police stations in the Brunei-Muara and Belait districts conducted simultaneous crime prevention patrols on Thursday.

The first patrol was conducted by the Bandar Seri Begawan Central Police Station led by Corporal Hasnan bin Ali along with 10 Neighbourhood Watch members from Kampong Perpindahan Bunut.

Village Head of Kampong Perpindahan Bunut Haji Durahim bin Hassan was also present.

The second patrol was conducted by Limau Manis Police Station led by Corporal Pengiran Mohd Iskandar Shah bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Salim along with two Neighbourhood Watch members from Kampong Junjongan. The final patrol was led by Corporal Mohd Jin bin Roseta of the Kuala Belait Police Station. The patrols were carried out at several areas where criminal activities were often reported.

The involvement of the Neighbourhood Watch members was hoped to strengthen cooperation in crime prevention with the village community in line with their vision ‘Neighbourhood Watch And Neighbours Preventing Crime’.
