THE Temburong Police District recently conducted a joint operation alongside several law enforcement agencies at Kampong Menengah and Kampong Batu Bejarah in Pekan Bangar, Temburong.

The operation, carried out with the Royal Customs and Excise Department and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), targetted foreign workers’ quarters and involved 25 officers led by Assistant Superintendent of Police Muhd Aimi Safwan bin Zalidin of the Traffic Control and Investigations Department of Temburong Police District.

Several cartons of cigarettes owned by an Indonesian national were found during the raid. The case is being investigated under Section 146 1 (d) of the Excise Order 2006.

The joint operation was part of the Temburong Police District’s continuous efforts to curb criminal activity, particularly during holiday periods.

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) are advising members of the public to keep their property safe when leaving their homes and ensure that doors and windows are locked.
